Piling Works Start In Dublin

Northern Ireland firm FK Lowry Piling, part of the Lagan Construction Group, has started piling works for a new waste-to-energy scheme in Dublin, Ireland.

The scheme is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) between Dublin City Council and Covanta to provide a thermal treatment plant to treat municipal waste from within the greater Dublin region.

FK Lowry Piling secured the contract for the design and installation of the Piled Foundations for the new Facility and mobilised their new Soilmec SR-75 and existing CM-50 Piling Rigs to site in October 2014. The firm is contracted to install approximately 3,500 No. 300mm, 450mm & 600mm diameter CFA Piles.

The commencement of the project also saw the introduction of FK Lowry Pilings latest plant acquisition with the new Soilmec SR-75 being mobilised to site.
