CIH Appoints New Director For NI, Scotland And Wales

The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) has appointed a new director for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Annie Mauger will take on the new role of executive director of CIH's national business units, which means she will oversee the organisation’s operations in Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast. She will be based in Edinburgh.

She is currently chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP), and is due to join CIH in February 2015. After a career in local authorities in Scotland for more than 12 years, she became head of libraries and heritage for the City of York and then chief executive of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council Yorkshire. She has been with CILIP since 2010.


She said: "I am delighted to be joining CIH and returning to Scotland. There is an extremely important time of political change ahead across all the devolved nations and it's vital that the voice of CIH members is heard. I'm looking forward to working closely with colleagues and board members in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and across the whole organisation to ensure members get the best possible services and support to achieve our goal of decent, affordable homes for everyone in thriving communities."
