Laganwater Scoops Award For Water Infrastructure Project

Laganwater, part of the Lagan Construction Group, has scooped a prestigious award for its Clay Lake Water Treatment Works in Keady, County Armagh.

The Minister for Employment and Learning, Stephen Farry, revealed the winners at the Construction Excellence Awards 2014.

The water infrastructure project, which also won the Utilities Infrastructure Award, emerged as the ultimate winner for 2014.


Congratulating the overall winners John Armstrong, Managing Director of the Construction Employers Federation (CEF) said: "We turn on our taps and out comes high quality clean drinking water – we take that for granted, but of course it is millions of pounds of investment in infrastructure that makes that possible. The Clay Lake Water Treatment Works is the sort of project that is often invisible to the public and I think it is a testament to the outstanding work of Laganwater that this vitally important part of our local construction industry has been brought into the spotlight."
