A26 Moira Road To Be Improved

Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the introduction of a road improvement scheme on the A26 Moira Road at the junction with Lough Road.

Work is due to begin on Monday 23 June and be completed in September 2014.

Minister Kennedy said: "I am pleased to announce the start of this important scheme, which will provide new right turning pockets on the A26 Moira Road For vehicles turning right into Lough Road. This will greatly improve safety and assist traffic progression at this junction."

The Department has programmed the works and traffic management arrangements to minimise any inconvenience to the public. A temporary 40mph speed limit will be introduced over the length of the road works, lane restrictions will be in place at off peak times on the A26 and there will also be lane restrictions on Lough Road throughout the day.
