The application is for the extension and alteration to existing retail premises to provide 2,274 square meters of floorspace. This will include a hot food cafe, new service yard, car parking and alteration to the existing road junction at the site on the Dublin Road.
The development will see the existing SUPERVALU store in Omagh Town Centre move to new extended premises on the lower ground floor of that building. Primark will take over the floorspace currently occupied by SUPERVALU. The DRD Roads Service car park will also be improved with new traffic flows and improved access off the Dublin Road.

Mr Durkan said: "This is good news for Omagh. This development will sustain and enhance Omagh town centre as a shopping destination. The relocation and retention of the existing SUPERVALU store in the town, and the decision of Primark to start trading in Omagh, will bring a greater retail offering to people in the area and beyond. It will also bring jobs in the short term during the construction phase and then retail jobs in the long term. This is all to be welcomed."
