Mayors Meet To Discuss Holywood Cycle Path

North Down Mayor Andrew Muir and Belfast Lord Mayor Máirtín Ó Muilleoir have met at Belfast City Airport to discuss economic developments at the airport and the potential for a cycle route between Belfast and Holywood to link up the Comber Greenway and the North Down Coastal Path.

North Down Mayor Councillor Andrew Muir said: "I was delighted to meet with Belfast Lord Mayor Máirtín Ó Muilleoir on the boundary of both boroughs and look forward to working with him over my year as Mayor along with the new Mayor of Ards prioritising partnerships, prosperity and peace over party politics.


"Only by Working as One can we can realise the momentous opportunities available and create an open and welcoming environment for businesses by providing courageous civic leadership for everyone.

"Belfast City Airport is one our most valuable transport assets, particularly for business passengers. This vital transport hub ensures that businesses across Belfast and North Down are a flying success. I am determined to work with the Airport and key stakeholders to address concerns and provide a more stable and secure future for this valuable economic gateway.
