The Minister said: "The works will address a longstanding drainage problem, improve the structural condition of this stretch of carriageway and also enhance its running surface."
The work commenced Monday 24 June 2103 on Omagh Rd, Drumquin adjacent to the site of the old mart.
The off-peak lane closures commenced on 24 June 2013 and will continue until 13 August 2013. During off-peak lane closures two-way traffic flow will be maintained.
A full closure of the B50 Omagh Road will be in place on 14 August 2013 for a period of four days to allow final surfacing and a diversion will be signed as follows:
- Omagh bound traffic from Castlederg will be diverted via; C680 Drumlegagh Church Road, C679 Drumlegagh Road North, C679 Drumlegagh Road South, A5 Beltany Road and vice versa.
- Omagh bound traffic from Drumquin will be diverted via; B84 Baronscourt Road, C679 Drumlegagh Road South, A5 Beltany Road and vice versa.
The scheme is expected to be completed on 18 August 2013.
