Ecocem Ireland Launch Eco-Friendly Cement In A 25kg Bag

Ecocem Ireland have announced the official launch of its eco-friendly general purpose cement in a new 25kg bag.

The launch means that Ecocem's eco-friendly cement is now available for consumers to buy in local builder's merchants and suppliers. The cement, which among other things reduces the carbon footprint of traditional cement by over 50%, is the highest quality, strongest, most durable, best looking and most environmental cement available in Ireland.

The product is the first cement of its kind available in a 25kg bag. Its benefits include increased strength and durability, a superior finish which is brighter and whiter in colour, and it is eco-friendly, with up to a 50% reduction on CO2 emissions.

Having already proved itself in large-scale construction projects like the Aviva Stadium, the Waterford Cable Stayed Bridge, the Giant’s Causeway Interpretative Centre and the NUI Galway – this product is now available in builders' providers as an ideal product for builders or DIY enthusiasts.

Conor O’Riain, head of New Markets and Products at Ecocem Materials said: "Until now, the benefits of using Ecocem have been reserved to large scale projects such as the AVIVA stadium. As of today, the benefits are available to everyone in Ireland. The Irish builder now has exclusive access to the best available technology in cement bags."

He added: "Our product is revolutionary in Ireland, for no additional cost users get the highest strength, the best durability and a great colour. The cherry on the cake is that it is by far the best in terms of environmental performance. In fact, the product directly contributes to lower CO2 emissions, less use of Irish natural resources and a reduction in the imports of foreign fossil fuels."
