New Lighting Scheme Launches At Belfast City Hall

SDLP Belfast City Cllr Colin Keenan has hailed the Launch of a new lighting scheme at Belfast City Hall.

Cllr Keenan, who was at the launch, said: "This investment of over £300,000 from Europe and the Council as part of the ILLUMINATE project, has truly brought to life Belfast City Hall. I watched last night as the building rotated through many colour sequences and I was truly astounded at its beauty.

"Belfast City Hall will now join other iconic buildings around the world in using light to celebrate events throughout the year, such as Christmas, St Patrick's Day and Orangefest, as well as Polish Independence day and the Chinese New Year.

"It's hard to believe that over 6 million different combinations of lighting are possible using these cutting edge LED lights and I for one look forward to seeing the people of Belfast and others will enjoy it."
