Resurfacing Scheme To Begin On The A4

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £350,000 major resurfacing scheme on the A4 Ballagh Road, between Clogher and Fivemiletown.

Work is due to start on 11 March 2013. A 2.5 kilometre stretch of road will be resurfaced, starting approximately 300m east of the junction with Alderwood Road and extending to the junction with Kell Road.

The Minister said: "The benefits of this scheme will be an improved running surface which will develop less surface defects, on this busy arterial route."

To help minimise inconvenience to the travelling public it is planned to carry out the work without closing the road but traffic will be restricted to one lane when passing the work, which will result in some delays. Additional time should be allowed when planning journeys.
