Weyerhaeuser Products Limited, the European sales arm for Weyerhaeuser’s South American wood products, has relocated its operations from Brussels, Belgium to Dublin, Ireland, in a move designed to strengthen the company's ability to provide sales and marketing support to its Lumin and Lyptus customers throughout Europe.
Headed up by John Guerin, Weyerhaeuser Products Limited will be based in Dublin with all sales administration, marketing operations and customer service being coordinated from the new site.
Commenting on the move, Weyerhaeuser Products Ltd. Managing Director, John Guerin, said: "From a geographical perspective, Ireland is ideally placed for us to support our pan-European clients. As an international and cost effective travel hub, being based in Dublin will make it more efficient to service our European and international client base and our global business network."
Weyerhaeuser Products Limited distributes the Lumin range of plywood and Lyptus hardwood products throughout Europe. These PEFC and FSC certified wood products are manufactured from eucalyptus and pine trees grown on responsibly managed plantations in South America. With up to 50 percent of current production being shipped to Europe, having a strategically located base will be pivotal in securing continued growth and supporting Weyerhaeuser partners across the continent.
Mr Guerin concluded: "From the new base in Dublin our focus will remain firmly on helping core clients to develop their business by ensuring long term supply opportunities for competitive, sustainable and fully certified alternatives to traditional tropical sources."
