Directors Of Building Firm Agree Disqualification

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (the Department) has accepted disqualification undertakings for eight years from two directors of an Omagh building and civil engineering company.

Martin Colton (61) and Declan Colton (33), both of Aughadulla Road, Omagh, were disqualified in respect of their conduct as directors of D & M Colton Contracts Ltd.


The Company carried on the business of building and civil engineering from Aughadulla Road, Omagh and went into Administration on 3 November 2009 with estimated assets of £102,352, liabilities to preferential creditors of £137,379, liabilities due to the floating charge holder of £668,244, liabilities of £321,441 to unsecured creditors, and an estimated deficiency as regards creditors of £1,024,712. After taking into account the losses incurred by members (the shareholders) of the Company the total estimated deficiency was £1,024,714.
