Development Gets New Energy Supply

It's an exciting time for the home owners of a new housing development by Kelly Brothers in Warrenpoint, as they are amongst the first in the town to benefit from natural gas supplied by firmus energy.

The residents at Mountain View are living in beautiful homes that are supplied with one of the cleanest, most convenient and economical fuels – natural gas. firmus energy is supplying natural gas to this sought after new development. All 20 homes in phase one are sold and a further 29 homes are under construction in phase two.

Sara Byrneis absolutely thrilled with her new home and is looking forward to enjoying the benefits of a natural gas home. She said: "At the touch of a button I'm in complete control of the heating system in my new home which is brilliant especially with the weather here being so unpredictable! I've got a constant flow of instant hot water which is fantastic and it’s reassuring to know that I’m never going to run out! I'm looking forward to benefiting from the efficiencies natural gas provides and using any savings towards decorating my new home!"

Kelly Brothers Building Contractors are the local company developing these environmentally-friendly homes. They are providing employment for the construction industry which is feeling the strain of the economic downturn. Ronan Kelly, Kelly Brothers explains why he chose firmus energy as the energy supplier for Mountain View: "Natural gas is a new energy source to the Warrenpoint area, as soon as we heard it was an option to connect to homes at Mountain View it was an easy decision to make. We have installed natural gas supplied by firmus energy to homes in Newry, Banbridge and Lurgan previously and it has been a great success. Homes using natural gas for heating and cooking are an attractive purchase for new buyers who want to save money on their fuel bills and in the current economic climate choosing a natural gas home is a smart move.

"With no need for an oil tank, or hot water storage tank we were able to design houses that had more room for living and enjoying the space. As natural gas from firmus energy is piped underground directly to each property, there is no need for the home owners to order it or store it, there's a constant supply."
