A series of events will mark the opening of this iconic building which will accommodate nine galleries with interactive exhibitions; an underwater exploration theatre, recreations of the ship’s decks and cabins and a 1,000-seater banqueting suite.
The visit was one of a number of engagements centred on developing the tourism sector across Northern Ireland which were undertaken by Minister Penrose during a one-day visit to Northern Ireland.

Arlene Foster said: "It is hugely exciting to see the progress which has been made on what will be a ‘must see’ attraction for visitors to Belfast and Northern Ireland. Titanic Belfast will provide a fitting backdrop for the series of events which have been planned to mark the centenary of the Titanic’s maiden voyage and commemorate those who tragically lost their lives. Events will range from large scale light shows and concerts and community events, to memorial services to remember all those who died."
Minister Foster also showed Minister Penrose the work being undertaken on the surrounding areas.
John Penrose said: "Titanic Belfast represents all that a fantastic visitor experience should be. With galleries, interactive opportunities and an underwater exploration centre, I’m sure it will prove an incredibly popular attraction when it opens next month. More widely it will prove that our tourism industry is a huge engine of jobs and growth."
