25% Cannot Cope With Rise In Energy Costs This Winter

A recent survey by the Irish League of Credit Unions showed that over a quarter of people surveyed will not be able to cope with the dramatic increase in their heating bills this winter. This issue will only worsen each winter. Many households are only beginning to turn their heating on now and will notice the dramatic increase in their bills come December and January, the most expensive time of the year for most.

Wicklow based company, CPi Foam Ltd have the long term solution to saving on energy bills, eliminating drafts, quietening your home and reducing your CO2 emission. CPi Foam Ltd have a network of fully trained spray foam contractors that can insulate any size attic space in an existing home or insulate the whole house from the ground up in new builds. The material used is fast becoming the insulation of choice for the home owner that really wants to future proof their home. EZero: E500 spray foam is the only spray foam tested and approved by NSAI to current building regulations, this will eventually outdate the fibreglass type of insulation "we all know that itchy feeling when you go into your attic" this will not be the case with spray foam as there is no fibres blowing around in there. This open cell spray foam is also breathable so there is no need to worry as regards roof ventilation.

The application causes no disruption to the household and costs approx €15 per square meter; your average attic space would cost in the region of €800 to insulate with CPi Foam and with a €200 government grant available through the recently launched Better Energy initiative this makes it a very attractive long term money saving solution. In the current climate this is a moderate investment however customers are seeing up to 50% savings in their heating bills month on month. The CPi Foam application also improves the air quality, reducing allergens and mould, an important point for those suffering with athsma and other breathing related allergies. Another benefit is the sound deadening quality this is another associated problem with homes that were build in the last 10years EZero: E500 will help this problem enormously.

Owner of CPi Foam, Feargal Driver set up the company in 2009 following the downturn in the construction industry, where he supplied spray equipment for industrial and commercial painting. Feargal and his son Stephen run the family business from Rathnew Co Wicklow where they have grown their business to include the sale of the specialised spraying equipment and rigs to contractors based all over Ireland. They also provide a training facility onsite in Rathnew for all new contractors in the application of the foam and use of machinery this is the only foam school in Ireland.

Feargal is gearing up for a busy few months ahead: "Following the numerous cold snaps last winter we have been very lucky to have had a busy year. The signs are there that this winter will be the same if not worse so now is the time to insulate, before you need to crank up the heating. Our customers cannot believe the savings they have made when comparing their bills over a year and also report that their houses are much cooler in the summer months when they need it to be. We have never had an unhappy customer, which is great. The bottom line is that this will save you up to 50% of your spend on heating each year whilst also improving your energy rating and the air quality in your homes. We have contractors trained and ready to work all over the country."
