Belfast Arts Centre Wins RICS Award

The Crescent Arts Centre in Belfast has received a Community Benefit Commendation Award at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RIC) National Awards Ceremony in London hosted by TV presenter Julia Bradbury.

This category recognises the importance of providing local communities with outstanding facilities and the interaction between a project and the community in which it sits is at the heart of this award.


Paul Millar, Partner of Hamilton Architects said: "We are delighted that the Crescent Arts Centre has achieved national recognition. The project was highly rated by the judges and won against strong competition, underlining the importance of the people involved and the positive impact the Crescent Arts Centre has on the local community. This award recognises the entire team's contribution to delivering a project for the community and conserving our built heritage."

Following a collaborative approach to design, the refurbished Crescent Arts Centre provides increased access and cutting edge facilities for its users.

Limerick Greyhound Stadium and IGB Offices in Limerick also designed by Hamilton Architects was shortlisted for the International RICS Award.
