Kingspan Continues Global Reach

NI company Kingspan Renewables is continuing to expand its presence in the South African market with the announcement of a new partnership.

As a result of a successful partnership with South African firm, Green Power, the company are now supplying their Thermomax solar collectors in an increasing number of commercial and residential projects across South Africa.

The Carpe Diem school for children with learning disabilities is the most recent commercial project to be completed by Green Power using Kingspan Renewables' products.

Green Power was commissioned by Carpe Diem, in March of this year, to develop a solar hot water system to heat the school's 20 year-old swimming pool. The Kingspan Thermomax HP200 product was selected as the solar solution to address the school’s needs.

The product boasts a temperature limitation feature that prevents the collector from overheating; a necessary feature for the South African climate.

SK Hauptfleisch, Principal at the Carpe Diem school said: "The system has performed very well considering we are still in the peak of our winter season. The heat pumps have hardly been utilised and we're very impressed by the efficiency of the Thermomax tubes."

Growing the South African market has been another step in expanding Kingspan Renewables’ global reach.

The company has been working on projects across the world including China, Macau, Australia and New Zealand.
