Daly Renewables Scoop 'Best New Business' Award

Daly Renewables, a company which specialises in underfloor heating and renewable energy systems, has recently announced it has won an award for the ‘Best New Business’ in the Lisburn area by Lisburn City Council.

In announcing the award for Daly Renewables, the following commentary was made: "Judges were impressed by the vision, focus and energy of this new business. Combined with its unique product and excellent business strategy this business is definitely one to watch out for in the future."

The successful firm has also recently completed two commercial renewable energy contracts – Solar Water Heating at Queens University New Playing Fields and a Geothermal Contract for the new Ilex Ebrington Development.

The following was supplied and installed at the Queens University Playing Fields:

•30m2 of Solar Flat Plate Collectors supplied and installed to provide hot water for new playing facilities.

•12 No. Panels mounted on purpose built frame on flat roof overlooking playing pitches.

•Copper Mapress Pipe work supplied and fitted from roof level to 1500L pre-heat vessel in boiler house.

•Incoming water mains pre-heated by solar panels, reducing load on gas-fired water heaters.

Ebrington – Design, Installation and Commissioning of 30 No. Geothermal Borehholes to a total depth of 4.2km:

•Complete Design, Installation and Testing of Boreholes, manifolds, pipe work and manifold chambers undertaken by Daly Renewables

•30 No. Boreholes drilled to a depth of 140m each to provide heat to future Geothermal Heat Pumps in re-development of Ebrington Army Barracks

•Each borehole was grouted using a thermally enhanced bentonite grout mix

•State of the art geothermal manifold chambers were used to connect boreholes to future buildings

The company has secured the agencies for underfloor & geothermal heating from ‘Scoffield Specialist Services’, the first company in Ireland to install underfloor heating over 30 years ago. Daly Renewables liases with other trades directly so that the client has complete piece of mind that their renewable or underfloor heating installation will be installed to the highest standard.
