New Ballymena Tenant 'A Cut Above The Rest'

The developers of a major retail and office development in Ballymena town centre have completed their third significant letting.

Local business, The Sitting Room, a successful hairdressing salon owned and run by Julian Dalrymple has moved into a newly fitted out unit in the development which is located in the town centre on Thomas Street.

Overall the scheme comprises a total lettable area of 20,000 sq ft and represents an investment of £3m by the locally-based Patton Group. Martin Mallon, Property Manager with the Patton Group, says interest in the scheme has been strong.

“The property is strategically located in the heart of one of the province’s most vibrant town centres. It benefits from excellent frontage onto the Fairhill Roundabout, Thomas Street, Mount Street and Parkway. The town centre location means it is easily accessible by car, by public transport and on foot. We have recently completed lettings to The Intraining Group, Invest NI and now the Sitting Room, whose presence on the ground floor has added greatly to the development and has attracted a lot of interest.

“We have interest expressed in one of the remaining office suites and the two ground floor retail units which are finished to a shell specification. Office suites are available from 1,500 sq ft to 7,000 sq ft and the two shops total around 3,500 sq ft. The property is ideal for retailers and office occup iers seeking an excellent town centre location with affordable rental levels. The offices, which may be finished to client specification, represent the only purpose-built office space currently available in Ballymena town centre.”

The building also benefits from the availability of 10 on-site car parking spaces, with an additional 60 private parking spaces available close by.
