Meath Nursing Home Fights Off Appeal

Work is expected to commence soon on a four-block, 105-bed spaces nursing home in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.

Although a third party appeal was submitted against the construction of the nursing home at Hunters Lane, Dunreagh Townland, Ashbourne, An Bord Pleanala has dismissed the appeal.

They then granted permission to Eracase Ltd and the Bective Partnership, with conditions, on 15th February.

According to the website, unearthore.com, Dublin's Cooney Architects will now oversee the contract for the nursing home with Block A to consist of 19 single bedrooms at ground floor level, 11 single bedrooms and four double bedrooms at the first floor that were omitted from the plans.


Block B will consist of 19 single bedrooms at ground floor and 13 single bedrooms and four double bedrooms at the first floor that were omitted from the plans.

Block C will consist of nine single bedrooms at ground floor, nine single bedrooms and two double bedrooms at the first floor, all with associated nursing accommodation facilities.

Block D will consist of an entrance foyer, reception, kitchen, dining, sitting rooms, staffing facilities, plant room and associated accommodation, 58 car parking spaces, a new site entrance, railings/public footpath, connection to site services, new boundary treatments, hard and soft landscaping and ancillary site development works will all be provided.

The project promoters are Eracase Ltd and The Bective Partnership.
