'Cool Contract' Generated At Power Plant

Local business air cool engineering (NI) Ltd has successfully signed an initial three year contract to maintain air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems at Northern Ireland's most efficient power station.

Coolkeeragh Power Station at Campsie, in the North West of the province, has awarded Limavady business air cool engineering (NI) Ltd, a three year (with possible extension to five years) planned preventative maintenance contract.

The substantial contract will cover 50 items of plant, ranging from split air conditioning units, fan coil units to wall mounted electric heaters. Maintenance will be carried out on a quarterly basis.

When tendering for this contract, air cool engineering (NI) Ltd had to demonstrate to Ireland's 'Electricity Supply Board' (ESB), owner of the Coolkeeragh Power Station, they had the appropriate experience of this type of work, in an industrial environment. Air cool engineering (NI) Ltd has (and continues to) provided similar maintenance services for the past three years, to AES Kilroot Power Station, in Carrickfergus.

Andrew Grant, Project Manager for Air Cool Engineering (NI) Ltd said: "As a business, we are committed to providing our clients with the highest standards in workmanship.

"We pride ourselves in our specialist expertise and our quality-driven company philosophy.

"We are delighted that Coolkeeragh has selected a local contractor to maintain their air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems, and hope that our services assist in making the Power Station operate effectively and efficiently."
