Tractors Stolen In Ballymena

Building contractors are being urged to be more alert to thieves after two tractors worth a total of £115,000 were stolen from a dealership in Co Antrim.

It happened in Ballymena when they were taken from premises on the town's Larne Road some time between 5.30pm on Friday and 3pm on Saturday.

The blue and white New Holland T60/90 and 50/60 tractors are valued at £65,000 and £50,000 respectively.

Police believe both were removed from the dealership via a nearby field leading to Crebilly Road.

Anyone who noticed the tractors or any other suspicious activity in the Larne Road or Crebilly Road areas on Friday or Saturday is asked to contact police.

At risk builders should take more precautions on foot of the thefts and secure their equipment.
