Ongoing Omagh Road Works Welcomed

Several resurfacing schemes have commenced across Omagh's road network, as part of a £5.1m investment by the Roads Service.

Meeting with Omagh council, Transport Minister Conor Murphy said good progress had been made on a trunk of works in the district.

He revealed a final design for the A5 Western Transport Corridor, which will be upgraded to a dual carriageway, should be published late next year.

Mr Murphy said the 400 metres of road realignment of the C633 Whitebridge Road between Carrickmore and Ballygawley is progressing well.

This work also includes a junction improvement at Gleneeny Road.
