A Fermanagh firm has secured a major contract to fit out and refurbish Starplan stores across the UK.
McElwaine Electrical, which has a devision in Lisnaskea, won the £250,000 tender and will begin works in Wednesbury in the West Midlands of England this week.
Neil Jardine, Contracts Manager for McElwaine Electrical said: "This contract is testament to our quality and ability in the commercial field.
"McElwaine Electrical have carried out installations to all Starplan showrooms in Northern Ireland, and now we can offer the complete package to their UK Stores, providing full CCTV, power, lighting PA Systems and all other electrical works."
The Wednesbury Starplan job is just one of five schemes McElwaine Electrical has secured with Starplan in the UK, with further projects in Erdington, Solihull, Coventry and Stoke.
All the stores are for 10,000 square feet units, with the work designed to support Starplan’s new corporate image and layout.
"The group has had a long and successful relationship with Starplan Furniture in Northern Ireland, and the new jobs across the UK will replicate a layout first used in the new store in Newry," said Mr Jardine.
The job involves a full electrical refurbishment of the showroom and includes the provision of additional storage facilities as this depot is used as the distribution centre to serve the other stores in the UK.
