Radiator Plus Limited

DONT DO IT!! When we refurbished our house here in Ireland, we made sure that we supported Irish businesses wherever we could, seeking out Irish alternatives to simply ordering from the more established companies in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, for the majority of suppliers and contractors this was appreciated and the level of service we received was very good. Radiator Plus however are the exception to this!!!
We contacted them in 2015 for 5 x large Cast Iron Radiators from their standard range and in a standard pewter colour with all the fittings. We received the quotation which was comparable with other established UK companies and therefore placed the order, paid inn advance and they were delivered on time.
However around 12 months later we started to notice some paint bubbling in the top of the radiators, thinking perhaps this was an isolated issue and the thought of removing the radiators which were fitted onto our new cream carpet was not high on our list of things to look forward to, so we contacted the owner of Radiator plus who seemed free to talk until we had a problem and said he was busy and would ring us back shortly......he never came back to us and we tried to call several times over the coming months to no avail.
The corrosion on the radiators continued to deteriorate and therefore we decided to try to make contact again, this time we managed to speak with the owner and again told him of the problem!
Well, out came the excuse book.....we must of used chemicals on them, they only use the best possible company to powder coat them, will send you some paint to touch them up, etc, etc and then, the grand finale: THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON THE PAINT, well that was the low point for us, how is it possible that whilst all other manufacturers are offering 10 years to lifetime warranties on their cast iron radiators can you possibly think that NO WARRANTY is acceptable. I have written to the company twice and have received no response.

My advice, stay well away, if you look at their website there are no details of warranties, if the company cared about their reputation they would of at least responded to my emails or visited our home to see the problem for themselves!

I dont normally write reviews about companies, however given the cost of the items, the deplorable service and lack of any warranty, I thought it prudent to warn people before making a purchase.
