Castledawson-based MOYOLA Precision Engineering is set to implement a £400,000 employee training initiative to enhance its operations, it has been announced.
The move has been backed by Invest NI.
MOYOLA supplies a range of high specification complex components and tools for use in the aerospace, automotive, energy and medical device industries worldwide.
Invest NI has offered £158,061 towards the total cost of the business improvement project, including part finance from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The aim of the initiative is to increase business capability through cross-functional training, helping MOYOLA to maintain and grow its competitive advantage in markets outside Northern Ireland.
Niall Casey, Invest NI’s Director of Business Improvement Services, said: "Thanks to its long-standing ethos of continually developing its people, together with a strong focus on boosting external sales, MOYOLA has increased its performance and achieved considerable success in recent years.
"Through this current project, the company is further developing the skills and knowledge of its employees so they can contribute to even greater productivity and profitability."
Raymond Semple, Managing Director of MOYOLA said: "People and technological developments are at the heart of our success. This investment is aimed at further improving the effectiveness of our people in producing solutions that exceed the expectations of our customers.
"This Invest NI and EU part financed training programme is further developing our employees, increasing their capability to understand and manage our modern technology and production processes," he said.
"Our plan is to increase our customer base and achieve greater value-added sales in markets outside Northern Ireland."
