PM Appoints Former CRH Chief To Board

Project management firm PM Group has appointed former CRH boss Liam O'Mahony to its board.

The engineering and architectural design giant has welcomed Mr O'Mahony, who recently retired from his high profile Chief Executive role at CRH, as a Non-Executive Director.

Mr O'Mahony remains chairman of Smurfit Kappa Group plc; a non-executive director with CRH and a member of the Council of the Irish Management Institute.

A spokesman for PM said: "Liam O'Mahony will bring over 30 years experience of international business development, strategic thinking, and corporate governance to the PM Group.

"His knowledge and expertise in the construction and engineering sectors globally will be very important for the PM Group at a time when it is focused on the expansion of its operations worldwide," he added.

Irish-owned PM employs over 1,800 people in 30 nations, although the firm is headquartered in Ireland.

PM Group's work in Ireland currently includes redevelopment of the New Aviva Stadium at Lansdowne Road; the extension to Pier D at Dublin Airport; UCD Gateway project; and Shannon Industrial Zone Masterplan.

As well as the construction management of the Shell Corrib Onshore Gas Terminal in Mayo; the Dunboyne-Clonsilla and Middleton-Cork railway projects; the Tyndall National Institute for ICT Research in UCC and the new Merck Vaccines project in Carlow.
