New Energy Efficient LED Light Unveiled

Avocalite.ie, an online retailer of low energy light bulbs and LED bulbs, has unveiled its super bright 40W equivalent GU10 LED.

The light output is equivalent to a 40W halogen bulb, but consumes just 2.3W, a significant saving of electricity. The bulb produces a soft white light ideal for home ceiling down lighters.

"We have incorporated the feedback we’ve been receiving from our customers over the past two years to introduce a greater variety of products," said Jennifer McClurg, Avocalite founder.


Many modern Irish homes today are fitted with light fittings which use a compact GU10 40W mains voltage halogen bulb.

Halogen bulbs are expensive to run especially when six to eight bulbs are used to light a single room such as a sitting room or hallway.

This new LED bulb uses just a fraction of electricity in comparison.

Many consumers are unaware that reflector, candle, pearl-shaped and golf ball shaped bulbs are also available in the energy saving range, in a host of bulb sizes and fitting types.

This latest LED addition to the Avocalite range has so far proved extremely popular and the feedback is overwhelmingly positive, according to Ms McClurg.
