Public Consultation On A5 Dualling

A series of public consultation events are to be held to discuss the proposed dualling of the A5 between Derry and Aughnacloy, it has been announced.

Roads Minister Conor Murphy said the events will provide interested parties with an update and give people an opportunity for comment.

He said: "Roads Service is currently developing route options within the preferred corridor and are keen to gather as much information as possible that will help in making decisions regarding the best route for the A5 dual carriageway.


"I would therefore encourage as many people as possible to attend the public consultation events."

The events are being held at four venues.

Tuesday 17 February At Silverbirch Hotel, Gortin Road, Omagh from 12pm to 9pm.

Wednesday 18 February At Smyth Memorial Hall, Church Street, Ballygawley from 12pm to 9pm.

Tuesday 24 February At Fir Trees Hotel, Strabane from 12pm to 9pm.

Wednesday 25 February At Everglades Hotel, Derry from 12pm to 9pm.
