Contract Boss Picks Up UTV Business Prize

A 29-year-old Dundonald man has picked up the Young Business Personality of the Year accolade at the UTV Business Eye Awards.

Rory McNaughton who runs Ireland-wide Contract Services (NI) accepted the award by thanking his management, administration and engineering staff.

He said: "This is a great achievement not only for myself but for the first class team who have worked so hard building the business.

"From the outset we have had a very definite eye on customer services coupled with our ability to mould our business around the very specific needs of our vast array of customers has helped to leave our competition behind scratching their heads whilst we have become one of the best in the business."

The Judges chose McNaughton as he currently presides over one of the fastest growing enterprises in the electrical, mechanical & contract management sectors.

He set up Contract Services to encompass all soft and hard services to include, Electrical, Mechanical, Construction and Cleaning, with the view to having all services under one company umbrella and all trades employed by and controlled by Contract Services NI.

Brenda Buckley of Business Eye said: "This was a brand new category set out to identify the achievements of Northern Ireland’s young entrepreneurs and business leaders, Rory stood out among the entrants having shown clear achievements both personally and within Contract Services NI, he has a real dynamism for his field."

Contract Services, based on the outskirts of Dundonald operates all over Ireland and the UK, came into being just over two years ago. Wwithin a short period of time it has grown to employ just over 100 people and to operate a fleet of 32 vehicles.
