Dublin Property Firm To Launch Financial Advice Unit

A specialist facility, to advise customers on financial issues, is to be set-up by a Dublin-based property firm.

D2 Private said the move would help clients address bad debts, receiverships, debt restructuring, and other monetary hurdles they may face.

Increased difficulties in property related investments have prompted the firm's decision, according to Chief Executive Deirdre Foley.

She said: "This aspect of our business has been growing dramatically over the past number of months, as there is no abatement in the crisis in the banking and property markets, and as people grow increasingly concerned over their existing investments and related debt."


The task of the new facility is to re-evaluate developments in trouble, and provide investors with options on renegotiating lending services.

The firm said the unit would act as an intermediary during talks between banks and borrowers.

"In many cases, we have found that there are solutions to these situations which can best be identified and resolved through impartial, calm analysis and innovative action," said Ms Foley.

Over the past ten years D2 Private has raised over €5b in debt and equity for property projects.
