McAloon Construction Limited was fined £4,000 and ordered to pay costs after pleading guilty to Article 4(2)(a) of the Health and Safety at Work Order 1978.
The case was brought to Enniskillen Magistrates Court after a McAloon Construction employee fell from height on 5th September 2005.

Aidan Carroll had been working on the construction of a four-storey extension to the rear of an existing building. When constructing the floor at first floor level using T-beams and concrete blocks, he fell 3.71 metres - through a section of the floor under construction. He suffered a distal radius fracture to his right wrist and cuts to his head and legs as a result.
Bryan Price, Construction Inspector for the Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland said: "The system of work implemented to construct this section of the floor did not make any provision fro preventing falls from height."
