Leitrim Road Closure To Facilitate Water Works

Leitrim County Council has announced a temporary road closure in order to facilitate water mains rehabilitation works set to be carried out by Uisce Éireann.

From 6th November 2024 to 31st January 2025, the road starting from the junction with N16-2 at Pollboy Td (Shanvaus Cross) and finishing at the junction of LP02136-0, LP04134-0 and LP04135-0 at Ballyglass / Barrackpark / Twigspark Tds in Lurganboy, will be closed.


Diversions will be in place via the N16, L-4141-0, L-4137-0 and L4134-0 (both directions).

Access to all houses will be accommodated where possible, while local access to L-21691-0 will be available.

Access for businesses and local residents will be maintained but may be limited by agreement to certain times.

All temporary Traffic Management will be removed and the roads will be re-opened for the Christmas holiday period.

Any objections to the road closure can be lodged with the Director of Services for Economic Development, Planning and Infrastructural Services, Leitrim County Council, Park Lane House, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, on or before 4pm on Monday 21st October.
