Farrans Project Makes BBC NI House Of The Year Shortlist

Hampton House has made the shortlist for BBC NI's House of the Year following a transformation carried out by Belfast construction company Farrans.

A full restoration and renovation project was completed by the Farrans Homes team, which brought back to life the Belfast property that was originally built in 1862 and designed by one of the most prolific and talented architects of the time, Thomas Jackson.


Steeped in history, Hampton House was a former holiday home of British writer and literary scholar CS Lewis, however, had been left unoccupied since the 1960s and fell into disrepair.

The house is now the third to be considered for the BBC award, with the first five episodes of the tv programme available to view now on BBC iPlayer and the final both broadcasting and appearing on iPlayer on Monday 28 October.
