McLaughlin & Harvey has acknowledged the exceptional dedication and hard work of 48 employees celebrating significant milestones in their service with the company in 2024.
At McLaughlin & Harvey, the company considers its greatest asset to be its people. They are dedicated to fostering a supportive work environment and empowering everyone to contribute to how the company executes various projects.
Seven members of the group reached 25 years of employment with the company so they were invited them to meet with our senior management teams to celebrate and reflect on the incredible journeys they have shared with us.
One of the employees, Colin McCullough, began his McLaughlin & Harvey career as an Apprentice Joiner, before moving into site management whilst working on our Charles Hurst Land Rover Showroom project located on the busy Boucher Road in Belfast.
Colin, now Operations Manager, oversees some of McLaughlin & Harvey's most intricate projects to date, including the £17 million redevelopment of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. This ambitious project entailed a phased expansion of the operational hospital facilities, completed amidst the challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic. Both Colin and McLaughlin & Harvey take immense pride in successfully delivering this milestone project.
Gerard Morran, initially employed as a subcontractor at Barr Environmental, made the transition to McLaughlin & Harvey in 1999. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in numerous significant projects, including the construction of Barclays bank's new £95 million headquarters in Glasgow, situated prominently on the banks of the River Clyde.
