NIE Networks Launches New Vulnerable Customer Team

NIE Networks has introduced its new Vulnerable Customer Team, dedicated to offering improved support and assistance to community members who need extra help with their electricity service.

Although NIE Networks has always been committed to helping our vulnerable customers, this new team underscores the company's dedication to providing the highest level of support. The team is made up of two Vulnerable Customer Agents Paul Reid and Sinéad McAlinden and the Vulnerable Customer Manager Natasha Crooks.

Speaking about the new role, Natasha Crook said: "I have worked in NIE Networks for 3 and a half years and I am excited to take up this new role. I understand that some of our customers may require extra support due to their circumstances, I want to ensure that they receive the best possible level of service. Contacting a large organisation can be daunting and if a customer needs a helping hand it is my role to ensure we are there for them."

NE Networks offers a variety of ways to support vulnerable customers as it is a JAM Card-friendly organisation, with teams trained to assist customers with learning difficulties, autism or communication barriers by giving them 'just a minute.' The company is also a Dementia-friendly organization. Additionally, NIE Networks provides Sign Live, offering video relay and remote interpreting for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals and the company's website includes features to assist those with visual impairments.

One of the key services offered by NIE Networks is the dedicated Medical Customer Care Register for customers that relies on electricity for healthcare needs, you can join the Medical Customer Care Register to get extra support during a power cut.
