Farrans' Herring Bridge Shortlisted For National Award

Northern Ireland based construction company, Farrans, has announced that Herring Bridge has been shortlisted for an award in the RICS National Awards 2024, Infrastructure category.

Delivered by BAM-Farrans Joint Venture (BFJV), this was a complex design, civil and structural engineering project, in an operational port environment. Herring Bridge, Great Yarmouth's Third River Crossing, is a major national infrastructure project and one of Norfolk County Council's most ambitious civil engineering undertakings to date.

Since its launch in February 2024, Herring Bridge has markedly reduced traffic congestion in the town, cutting travel times and enhancing journey reliability. The project was completed within the client's initial budget of £121 million.
