McHale Plant Sales Markets Merlo's New Compact Telehandlers

Construction News Image
Merlo distributor in Ireland, McHale Plant Sales has commenced taking deliveries of Merlo’s latest new and revised compact telehandlers, high on the list of which are two models that their Sales Director, Denis McGrath confirms "are fully equipped and specified for agricultural use".

New is a TF27.6 model – a revised version of the compact entry-level P27.6 model.

A cross-over with the existing P27.6 model, the new TF27.6 boasts specifications that include a 5.9m lift height and 2,700kg lift capacity, a 75hp Kohler engine and 951/min gear type hydraulic pump. Added differences include updates to the hydraulic flow sharing control system that allows up to three hydraulic movements to be carried out simultaneously. Operator comfort is improved with added cladding within the cab and a new multifunction joystick and optional ASCS load display. Driven by a new high-torque hydrostatic transmission, it can reach a maximum speed of 40km/h.

Another newcomer is the TF30.7 model which replaces the former P32.6 unit.

With a 3,000kg lift capacity and 6.7m maximum lift height, the TF30.7 is equipped with a 40km/h hydrostatic transmission mated to a 4-cylinder Deutz engine. Power output is a steady 101 hp, with a 1001/min hydraulic flowrate. Benefitting from a number of design modifications, operator comfort is improved resulting from a slight offset to the boom to facilitate the fitting of a cab similar to others across the range whilst remaining below 2m wide. Three cab options are available: low-profile, standard and a suspended option, which raises overall height to 2.2m.
