Power NI Sponsors Energy Saving Week School's Challenge

Power NI has announced that it will sponsor Energy Saving Week school's challenge.

Schools across NI have been invited to take part in a schools' challenge to see how much CO2 can be saved. The challenge coincides with Energy Saving Week which takes place in Northern Ireland from 27 November to 1 December 2023.


Power NI will sponsor the £1,000 first prize for the winners to spend on a sustainability project for their school. The winner will be the school who has saved the highest amount of CO2.

Supported by the Housing Executive (Home Energy Conservation Authority), Power NI and other partners, Energy Saving Trust will promote energy savings and carbon reduction during the week. Energy Saving Week which has been running successfully for 23 years aims to encourage people to reduce the amount of energy and water they use, limiting the impact on the environment.
