Cill na Martra GAA To Develop New Pitch Surface

Cill na Martra GAA is set to progress with improvements to its football pitch.

Funding has been secured for the County Cork GAA club to develop a new surface and fence on the football pitch.

The Minister of State for the Gaeltacht Patrick O'Donovan T.D. announced that a grant of €60,079 has been approved for the Cill na Martra GAA project.

Minister of State O'Donovan said: "The approval of this assistance under the Department's Community and Language Supports Programme will further enhance the work being undertaken for the benefit of the language planning process - which is ultimately for the benefit of the Gaeltacht and Irish language communities. I know the Club is doing great work to pass on our national games to the next generation and it has plans for more facilities to be developed in the coming years. I am therefore delighted that I am able to provide this."


These grants are in line with the commitment made in the National Development Plan and the Community and Language Supports Programme under actions 2.13 and 2.22 specifically of the Action Plan 2018-2022.
