The company is investing €4 million to enhance its materials processing capabilities and improve the efficiency of the manufacturing processes and capacity.

In addition to this, the firm has plans to make a number of additional key investments - including a new 30,000 sq. ft mild steel fabrication facility, and an upgrade of facilities at their head office.

OMC, which has been in operation for over 40 years in Limerick, also has plans to hire 40 personnel to add to its 200 strong team across various roles, including apprentice and qualified site Metal Fabricators and fitters, General Operatives, Mechanical Engineers, Design Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers.

The recruitment of new talent forms a key strategy for growth plans for the years ahead, alongside the announcement of a new board of management which consists of four senior OMC Technologies staff joining as Associate Directors and Padraic Comerford, son of OMC Founder and Chairman, being appointed as Deputy Managing Director for the business. Padraic will work alongside Managing Director Neil Lynch and the new board to grow the business in 2023.
