Over 45 Graduates Join ESB's Development Programme

A total of 48 graduates have started a development programme with Irish electric firm ESB over the next three years.

ESB's Graduate Development Programme sees the graduates, from the fields of engineering, IT, HR, marketing, commercial and finance, develop both professionally and personally, forming part of an ambitious drive by the company to recruit high-calibre talent from third level institutions across the island of Ireland.

The programme offers each graduate the opportunity to gain experience by working on challenging assignments and major projects that offer exposure to the varied businesses of the organisation.

This year's intake of graduates recently participated in an online induction programme to welcome them to the organisation and have received a range of supports to start their programme including being partnered with individual mentors from within their business units, IT equipment and access to allow remote working.

Pat Naughton, Executive Director, People & Organisation Development at ESB, said: "ESB is delighted to welcome our new colleagues joining the organisation as part of our Graduate Development Programme. We will work with and support the graduates to ensure that they are seamlessly integrated into the organisation despite the challenges posed by Covid-19.

"As they embark on their career with ESB, we wish them every success, we look forward to working with them as part of our graduate programme and are confident that they will make a significant contribution to the success of our business and the delivery of our Brighter Future Strategy.

"ESB is also pleased to announce that recruitment for our 2021 Graduate Development Programme is now open and we are inviting applications from all final year students."
