TU Dublin Course Recognised At Construction Excellence Awards

A postgraduate Building Information Modelling and Management suite course at Technological University (TU) Dublin has been recognised at this year's Irish Construction Excellence awards.

The programme was named best Third Level Course: Postgraduate or CPD at the prestigious awards ceremony on Friday 29 March in the Mansion House.

Professor Gerald Farrell, Director and Dean of the College of Engineering & Built Environment, and Dr Avril Behan, Programme Chair and Head of BIM & Digital Construction at TU Dublin, collected the award.

The postgraduate BIMM suite of MSc, Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate and CPD awards is the result of collaborative delivery of modules from across the schools in the College of Engineering & Built Environment and is managed by the School of Multidisciplinary Technologies.

Since the commencement of the BIMM programmes in 2012, over 500 students have graduated with many having received Springboard or CitA Skillnet financial support. Outcomes for graduates of the programme have been excellent with over 95% either gaining promotion or securing employment as a result of engaging with the programme.
