They were used at six different locations to identify if the pipes were suitably positioned during the drought conditions to adequately intake water to be treated. Examinations took place to see if any leaks needed to be repaired on site.

The divers also measured the volume of water available to Irish Water.
Examinations took place on the inlet pipes in Lough Guitane as the new water treatment plant is due to come into effect immediately.
Water levels in the lake have dropped 45 inches since June.
An Irish Water spokesperson said: "We are continuing to monitor the situation and putting contingency plans in place should they be needed in the coming weeks. We would also like to acknowledge the work of Kerry County Council crews who are working day and night to manage water supplies across the county during this drought period."
