New Chairperson To Be Appointed To SEAI

The Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources intends to appoint Ms Julie O'Neill as chairperson for the Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland (SEAI) for five years.

Ms O'Neill was Secretary General at the Department of Transport from 2002 to 2009 and was a SEAI board member between September 2011 and September 2014.

She will serve alongside four newly-appointed members: Dr Peter Brennan, Dr Lisa Ryan, Mr Michael Wall, and Mr Paddy Phelan.

Minister White also intends to reappoint Ms Anne Connolly, Mr Pat Gilroy and Mr Brian Carroll whose terms on the board ended on 1 May 2015.
