Mivan Secures Contracts Totalling Almost £15m

Mivan has secured a number of major projects with key client Sir Robert McAlpine Limited totalling close to £15m.

Both projects require a large degree of off-site manufacture of specialist joinery, all produced from Mivan's head office in County Antrim.

The Fitzroy Place project by Exemplar is the largest of the contracts at over £12.5m and the volume of joinery items for this prestigious residential scheme is significant. Exemplar is marketing the scheme as the most significant in the Fitzrovia area of London in 50 years. The 570,000 sq. ft. development includes upmarket apartments, penthouses and commercial office space. Mivan’'s scope for the specialist joinery package includes doorsets, skirting, ceiling & wall panelling, bathroom vanity units, bespoke wardrobes and duplex staircases. The majority of the joinery will incorporate European oak throughout many of the areas. Mivan has commenced procurement for the project and is due to complete this project in April 2014.

The other project that Mivan has secured recently with Sir Robert McAlpine is the c£2m manufacture and installation of 40no bespoke staircases for the De Vere Gardens residential project in Kensington, west London. A number of the staircases are currently being constructed in Mivan's manufacturing facility which will then be dis-assembled and re-built on-site in London.

Mivan Chief Executive Dr Ivan McCabrey said: "We're delighted to be working alongside Sir Robert McAlpine once again following the successful multi-million pound fit-out at the Bulgari Hotel & Residences which completed last year."
