Minister McCausland dropped in for tea with Tyndale resident Maureen Allen.
Maureen has had a new kitchen installed as part of a £800,000 Housing Executive kitchen replacement scheme in the Tyndale and Silverstream area of north Belfast.
The scheme includes 218 homes consisting of a mixture of houses and flats.

Speaking during his visit the Minister said: "It is a pleasure to have visited Margaret and viewed her new kitchen. This completes phase 2 of the scheme which has seen over 420 tenants have their kitchens replaced, along with other associated works at a total cost of over £1.5million."
As part of the scheme, one to one consultation was carried out with all tenants prior to work commencing. During this consultation, tenants were able to select their own units, worktops and tiles from a range of options. New floor covering and a cooker hood were also provided as part of the scheme with electrical systems upgraded and smoke and heat detectors fitted or upgraded as necessary.
