The improvements will provide new surfacing to the carriageways and where necessary the drainage and hard shoulders will also be improved. Works begin on Monday 28 May and will be carried out concurrently on both stretches of road in order to minimise traffic disruption and to reduce their duration. The work is due to finish in early July.

In order to facilitate the works and ensure the safety of workers and the public, a lane closure for traffic travelling in a southerly direction from Moy to Armagh is required.
Traffic travelling from Armagh towards the Moy will be able to do so as normal subject to a speed restriction of 40mph. Traffic travelling towards Armagh from the Moy will be diverted via the B28 Collegelands Road, the C180 Cloveneden Road and the B77 Ballygasey Road and Loughgall Road.
During the works access will be available to local residents and businesses within the length of the work sites from the Armagh direction and between the resurfacing sites via the Lisbofin, Grange Blundel and Lislasley Roads.
The safety of the motoring public and contractors is a priority for Roads Service. As a result it works closely with police on major schemes to ensure that road closures and speed restrictions are complied with.
