Day Centre Contract Underway In Mayo

There's a new €3.2m Day Care Centre underway in Co Mayo.

The contract will see the provision of a centre of single storey design to include health care, social and catering facilities at Achill, Co Mayo.

The website unerathore.com said that the mechanical and electrical sub-contractors have now been appointed for the works involved with the construction at Saint Colemans Care Centre, Bunnancurry, Achill.

Work is currently progressing on site and the contract period is estimated at 12 months. The value of the scheme is in the region of €3.2 million.

The architect is Simon J Kelly and Partners, the electrical subcontractor is King and Moffatt and the promoter is the Health Service Executive West.

The roof will be pressed metal edge to standing seam roof, grey finish, the windows, aluminium framed curtain wall glazing system with solid hinged opening vents and the walls, coloured natural stone outer leaf.

The contract was awarded on 03 March after plans were approved 07 Oct 2008 having been submitted in Apr 2008.
