New Kitchens For 110 homes In Derry

At a cost of £0.5 million the Northern Ireland Housing Executives' (NIHE) contractor, PK Murphy Construction (PKM), has helped bring 110 homes in Brandywell up to modern day standards by installing new kitchens.

The kitchens were upgraded to an improved layout with new units and worktops from a range of colours and finishes. Electrical and plumbing installations were also upgraded as part of the works.


Sam McPherson, NIHE local District Manager, is extremely satisfied with the investment in the properties in this part of the city. NIHE has been working closely with PKM throughout the duration of the project and involved the residents to make sure the quality of work and overall service was to the standards that they would expect.

Mr Toland, a local resident, said: "My new kitchen is great, the worktops are all good quality and the standard of workmanship has been excellent."
